Softness is the answer.

You're never going to get tough love from me. I like to serve my therapy with a side of validation and a spritz of rose water. And that's because the world is crazy and being a human can be brutal and I think you deserve tenderness while you share all the colors of your conscious (and subconscious) with me.

But there is a method to my gentle approach: true trauma release. Repairing your nervous system. I don't know anyone who's healed attachment wounds with a stern analysis. Here's a snapshot of the background and credentialing that shape my perspective:

My MA in Clinical Psychology is from Antioch University, where I concentrated in Community Psychology for coalition building and collective healing. For additional clinical training I have specialized in somatic treatment for trauma release and attachment healing, with particular emphasis on Hakomi Mindful Somatic Psychotherapy, Somatic Parts Work/Internal Family Systems, Somatic EMDR, and inner child work/reparenting. I have over a decade of experience facilitating mindfulness, meditation and energy healing, including certification as a Reiki Master Teacher as well as training in the BodyTalk method, Emotional Freedom Technique (tapping), sound healing, and herbal medicine. I have 25+ years of experience working with children, families and schools (as both a teacher and a school therapist) and have practiced Trauma-Focused CBT to support adolescents and teens in processing trauma. I hold a certificate in Social-Emotional Arts from UCLArts and Healing and have over 40 years of study and practice in visual arts, performing arts, and creative writing. My practice also extends beyond the office to an equestrian center in Shadow Hills, California, where I offer equine-assisted psychotherapy and equine-assisted EMDR for individuals and groups in support of mood regulation, trauma release, and collective healing.
